Garrath Williams

I work in the Department of Politics, Philosophy & Religion at Lancaster University. I write and teach on ethics, political theory, and a range of practical questions, especially in public health.

These pages give some information about my writing and the collaborative research projects I'm involved in. I'm always happy to share and discuss work - please just email me if you'd like a copy of any articles or chapters, or have comments or questions.
Before coming to Lancaster, I taught at the University of Central Lancashire's Centre for Professional Ethics. My first position was in Politics at Manchester University.
I've also been a Visiting Professor at Ruhr University Bochum, and a Visiting Fellow at Copenhagen Business School, the European Academy in Bad Neuenahr, and the University of St Andrews.
I studied at Manchester University, taking degrees in Philosophy & Politics (BA) and Health Care Ethics (MA), as well as writing my PhD on knowledge and action in Kant's philosophy.
